They find the printers not only incredibly useful but also fun to use, which has boosted their enthusiasm for learning. In AP Biology, for example, rather than spending valuable time and effort drawing intricate diagrams of photosystems or muscle groups, students are now able to print clear, detailed images. This allows them to focus more on labeling, making connections between concepts, and deepening their understanding of the material.\r\n\r\nBeyond its academic benefits, students have creatively used the Phonemo printer to make stickers for AVID club promotions, personalize their notes, and capture important documents in a compact, manageable form. The fun and interactive nature of using the printer has helped increase their engagement and motivation.\r\n\r\nOverall, the Phonemo printer has improved the quality of their note-taking and allowed them to concentrate on higher-order thinking tasks, which positively impacts their learning outcomes.\r\n\r\nThank you for your support in providing this valuable and enjoyable tool to our students.","fullyFundedDate":1742705897140,"projectUrl":"project/visualize-the-learning-elevating-focuse/8976765/","projectTitle":"Visualize the Learning: Elevating Focused Notes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Molloy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp350652_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x460,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1732897365314","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/karen-molloy"},{"teacherId":350652,"projectId":9242025,"letterContent":"I am excited to share the positive impact that the book 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens has had on our students' personal growth and habit development. Over the course of four weeks, we implemented a thoughtful approach to reading this book that encouraged student engagement and reflection.\r\n\r\nWe began by reading the introduction together as a class and creating posters that highlighted the importance of developing good habits. This collaborative activity helped set the tone and build a shared understanding of why habits matter.\r\nFollowing this, students broke into small groups based on their personal interests and chose a chapter from the book that resonated most with them. This choice-driven approach empowered students to focus on the habit or trait that felt most relevant to their own goals and experiences.\r\n\r\nTo support their growth, students used habit trackers to monitor their progress over time. This consistent tracking encouraged accountability and helped them see tangible evidence of their development.\r\n\r\nThe combination of personalized focus, group collaboration, and habit tracking has led to meaningful changes in their routines, study habits, and overall mindset. I'm proud to report that all students in this class earned As and Bs on their last report card—a clear reflection of their hard work and dedication. In addition, several students have applied what they learned to dramatically improve their grades, with some increasing from a D to a B.\r\n\r\nStudents also reported feeling better about themselves, more positive about their ability to succeed, and ready to develop another habit after experiencing success with the first one.
