An important part of the learning that happens in my classroom is independently completing various tasks. Oftentimes simple task such as independently finding your name, hanging up your jacket and backpack require more support and scaffolding to independently accomplish this task. This is the first of many task that my students are expected to independently complete each day.\r\nMy students have learned to identify their first name within various locations in the classroom. Having their name on the individual cubbies allows them to identify a personal space for their jacket and backpack. Your gift has afforded my students an opportunity to practice these skills daily. Now that they can find their name, they are learning to place their jacket on the hook instead of stuffing it in the cubby. \r\nWe also use the cubbies to house some of the books in our classroom. As more students are added to the class, we will shift the books to a new location to accommodate the new students.\r\nThank you again!","fullyFundedDate":1755717895494,"projectUrl":"project/preschool-special-ed-cubbies/9574923/","projectTitle":"Preschool Special Ed Cubbies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Waytes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10168985"},{"teacherId":8194595,"projectId":9522903,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! My students love using the boards during lessons, and it's been great to see them take pride in keeping their materials clean and ready to use.\r\n\r\nThe disinfecting wipes have helped us maintain a healthy, welcoming classroom environment. Students use them to wipe down desks and shared materials, and it's taught them the importance of responsibility and cleanliness—especially in a busy space where we're learning and interacting all day.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom is more organized, more engaging, and a lot cleaner! My students were thrilled when they saw the new dry-erase markers, erasers, and washable markers. One student even shouted, \"We don't have to share dried-out markers anymore!\" Their excitement was contagious, and it instantly renewed their enthusiasm for math.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the dry-erase markers and erasers during our daily math warm-ups and small group instruction. Students work out problems on whiteboards, show their thinking in real time, and collaborate with classmates. It's made our math block more interactive and has helped me give quicker feedback during lessons. The washable markers are being used to create colorful anchor charts and posters that now decorate our classroom, serving as both references and celebrations of their learning.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was during a group activity on multiplying fractions. With fresh markers in hand, students confidently shared their strategies with their peers using large whiteboard charts. It sparked meaningful discussions and even led to students teaching each other—something I love to see!\r\n\r\nNext, we're starting a data and graphing unit. Students will be conducting their own surveys and creating graphs using the markers you provided. Two of my girls were happy to see a coloring book with numbers in Dari and worked together to remember how to count in their native language. \r\n\r\nThese books will benefit my students with reading at home and bonding with their families. They are also beneficial in the classroom. We have thirty minutes of reading stations each day, and students love to read independently. The headphone holders have eliminated the daily struggle of tangled cords and misplaced headphones, allowing students to transition seamlessly between activities without unnecessary distractions. With their own dedicated storage, students can now focus more on their lessons and maximize their learning time. \r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting developments has been the introduction of water bottles for each student. Not only has this encouraged better hydration and improved concentration, but it has also fostered a stronger sense of community within our classroom. We took this initiative a step further by creating a class logo and designing stickers to adorn each water bottle. This small act of personalization has united our class, giving students a sense of pride and belonging as they proudly display their water bottles. The whiteboards have quickly become another favorite tool, enabling students to brainstorm ideas, solve problems, and collaborate in real time. The excitement on their faces as they confidently work through challenges is a testament to how these resources are enhancing their learning experience. \r\n\r\nYour support has made a meaningful difference in our classroom, ensuring that every minute is spent productively while strengthening our classroom community.
