We worked on a unit during Science related to living organisms. The students learning about animal characteristics, traits for survival, food, offspring, and similar animals. After our instruction time during Science, the students worked on animal reports during our Independent Writing time. Each student was given the chance to select the animal they wanted to write about and were given a matching book to research their animal. \r\n\r\nOnce our students finished the process and wrote their animal story. I was blown away with my students' creativity! They each had an opportunity to present their story. \r\n\r\nThis was such a meaningful learning experience for my students. Not only did the materials directly benefit my students in my classroom, but we displayed the stories outside of our classroom and it brought so much positive attention. It gave us a chance to share with the non-disabled peers and staff throughout the building - so they could all see the any student can shine!","fullyFundedDate":1764622587019,"projectUrl":"project/living-organisms-animals/9906881/","projectTitle":"Living Organisms (Animals)","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wiggs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8443099_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661374982304","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kellyjwiggs"},{"teacherId":8443099,"projectId":9311219,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the ecosystem materials!
