Having sensory tools available during our sessions gives students something they can use while we work on these skills together. I have seen students use the items to help themselves calm down, get their bodies regulated, and feel more comfortable talking about and working through difficult emotions.\r\n\r\nAnother thing I really appreciate about these resources is that students can learn which tools work best for them. When appropriate, and with their teacher's permission, they can also use some of these strategies in the classroom.
