One of my students that comes in daily for his inhaler was surprised to see the spacer. He even said, \"What is that?\" It felt great to throw away the styrofoam cup/spacer. I had to do a little education on how to use a spacer correctly, which gives me suspicions that he may not have one at home either. \r\n\r\nI like all my students who use an inhaler to use a spacer with it because it ensures that they are getting the full dose of medication. I also learned that spacers are supposed to be cleaned at least once a month. I was not aware of that but glad I know now, because I can clean these and reuse them from year to year. \r\n\r\nThank you again for funding my project and helping my students \"just breath\".","fullyFundedDate":1761391876463,"projectUrl":"project/just-breathe/9851607/","projectTitle":"Just Breathe","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nurse Ruth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4425120_orig.jpg?crop=409,409,x0,y10&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761079121287","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4425120"},{"teacherId":9974339,"projectId":9508898,"letterContent":"My students and I are absolutely loving the new materials you helped bring to our classroom! When I first introduced the sorting roads, my students were so excited. We used them to classify pictures into groups, and it was such a wonderful learning moment. They quickly gained confidence as they realized how easy and fun it was to sort and name the categories. These hands-on activities have made a big difference, helping my students stay engaged while improving their language and thinking skills.\r\n\r\nThe inference cards have also become a favorite in our sessions. The real-life pictures capture their attention and help them make connections to their own experiences. We've been using these cards not only for making inferences but also to practice building complex sentences and answering \"WH\" questions. One of my students especially enjoys using the Super Duper verb cards to practice past tense verbs. He loves playing \"Go Fish\" with them and gets so motivated that he asks to play every time he comes to speech class!\r\n\r\nEven the crayons have had a big impact, especially for my autistic students. They love using them for sorting by color, making requests with their communication boards, and engaging in interactive play. Every resource you funded has brought joy, learning, and progress to my classroom. I'm so grateful for your generosity—thanks to you, my students are more confident, motivated, and excited to learn. One of the comments I often hear from them is, *\"I love it!\"*\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt thanks,\r\nAna Mosteller, SLP Assistant","fullyFundedDate":1755524382095,"projectUrl":"project/game-on-for-language-building-communica/9508898/","projectTitle":"Game on for Language! Your kindness and support have made a meaningful impact on our young students, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to their well-being and success.\r\n\r\nAs an educator, I recognize that proper nutrition plays a crucial role in a child's ability to focus, learn, and engage in the classroom. Many of our students come to school without sufficient food to sustain them throughout the day, making it difficult for them to concentrate and perform at their best. Your donation has helped alleviate this challenge by ensuring that every child in our classroom has access to some snacks when they need them most.\r\n\r\nSince receiving your donation, I have witnessed firsthand the positive effects it has had on my students. A quick snack break has allowed them to refuel and regain their energy, leading to better focus and participation in our daily lessons. The availability of snacks has also created an environment where students feel cared for and supported, fostering a sense of security that enhances their overall learning experience.\r\n\r\nBeyond the physical benefits, your donation has taught our students a valuable lesson about kindness and generosity. They have learned that there are caring individuals and organizations in our community who are invested in their success. These acts of kindness inspire them to be more compassionate toward their peers and encourage them to pay it forward in their own ways.","fullyFundedDate":1732310085237,"projectUrl":"project/share-some-snacks-please/8802099/","projectTitle":"Share Some Snacks, Please!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fitzgerald","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9685336"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15074","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":546,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":65,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"13.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":58.2,"schoolId":15074,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Liberty Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Liberty Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/white-settlement-independent-school-district/liberty-elementary-school/15074"}
