They could not wait to open the boxes the materials arrived in and each one wanted to be the first one to use marble run. They all have had the opportunity to use the magnetic tiles, building sticks, and marble run. The favorite are the building sticks.\r\n The students use the tools during our STEM exploration time. They work in groups and build off of each other's ideas. At first, the students explored or played with the materials. Now, they are given a challenge or problem to solve while using the materials. Each day they are excited to learn what the challenge is for the day. They have learned how to work together and value each other's ideas when working on the challenge. All the students say that STEM time is their favorite part of the day.\r\n Before my project was funded, I did not have enough STEM building material for each group. Funding my project has resulted in each group having building material to work with each day.
