The new books are helping us practice important reading skills such as making inferences, identifying themes, and building stronger vocabulary. Many of the stories also spark great conversations about character traits, problem solving, and connections to our own lives. These books truly open doors for my students to grow as readers and thinkers.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is both a quiet and shared experience. Students curl up with their chosen books during independent reading, then gather to share their ideas, favorite parts, or lingering questions. We use sticky notes, partner talks, and small-group discussions to dig deeper into the stories. The new books have quickly become favorites, and students are often asking to recommend them to friends after finishing.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have found new joy in reading because of these additions. One student who used to struggle finding books he liked now proudly carries around his new favorite chapter book. Another student who is usually shy has started raising her hand during discussions because the story connected so strongly to her. Your generosity has created these moments of excitement and confidence, and we are truly grateful for the difference you've made in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755120460476,"projectUrl":"project/books-bright-ideas-fueling-reading-a/9492468/","projectTitle":"Books & Bright Ideas – fueling reading and creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Boettcher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3902414_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754968899149","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3902414"},{"teacherId":3902414,"projectId":9217440,"letterContent":"My studwnts will return to school in 1 day.
