Thanks to you, my students had the opportunity to read one of the greatest American pieces of literature, and the experience has been truly transformative for them.\r\n\r\nThroughout our study, students engaged in rich, meaningful discussions that explored the American Dream, the establishment of markets, the Industrial Revolution, and its lasting impacts on society, and even F. Scott Fitzgerald's masterful use of asyndeton to characterize Tom Buchanan. These conversations pushed them to think critically about literature's connection to history, economics, and the human condition.\r\n\r\nBeyond the analytical work, students also enjoyed the creative aspects of our unit, including designing bookmarks that will accompany them on their ongoing writing and reading journeys. These small but meaningful projects helped them develop a personal connection to the text and to their identities as readers and writers.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, thanks to your support and resources, my students have fostered their ability to read complete works of literature with confidence and comprehension. They have also developed the skills necessary to write academic research papers that go beyond merely repeating ideas, instead incorporating scholarly perspectives and demonstrating genuine critical analysis. These are skills that will serve them well throughout their academic careers and beyond.\r\n\r\nYour generosity and commitment to education have made a lasting impact on these young minds, and for that, I am deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1768435378517,"projectUrl":"project/a-timeless-american-masterpiece-for-shar/9988496/","projectTitle":"A Timeless American Masterpiece for Shared Reading and Literary Discovery","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. D. I looked into it and I said \"anything to enhance my students academic excellence and promote both technology and Geometry is worth a try. Well, I was ecstatic when I received the acceptance email that I started jotting down the many ways I was going to implement the color printer in our classroom to enhance Geometry learning and Real World connections. My plan was to add on to the famous classroom routine of word walls and make it \"World Walls\". \r\n\r\nMy students would use newly acquired Geometric terminology and find real world connections to print a relevant image using technology and then print the image IN COLOR. My students found the learning to be more relevant and eager to start looking for real world connections. We are using these materials daily, especially during our current writing and rhetorical analysis unit. Recently, students used the new resources to annotate a speech and visually map out claims, evidence, and commentary. One student looked up and said, \"This actually makes sense now.\" That moment meant everything.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students were curious and eager to use them. What stood out most was hearing a student ask, \"These are for us?\" It reminded me how powerful it is for students to feel supported and valued.\r\nNext, students are applying these tools to a larger writing project where they will analyze complex texts and construct their own arguments. Because of you, they are more confident, more engaged, and more willing to take academic risks.\r\nThank you for investing in my students and giving them resources that truly make a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1746786452247,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-resources-and-environment-need/9316366/","projectTitle":"Classroom Resources and Environment Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cervantes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9783262_orig.jpg?crop=624,624,x486,y921&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777348716059","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9783262"},{"teacherId":9107828,"projectId":9210590,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for facilitating materials for my English III class.
