My students enjoyed the opportunity to showcase their hand building skills. Its a good way to push students into three dimensional thinking. \r\n\r\nStudents had to plan what they were going to build. Then they built it and some realized clay isnt as forgiving as just a drawing. They had to problem solve. After the projects dried, they were able to paint them and let dry again. Finally they were able to seal their project. \r\n\r\nThe clay, the building tools and sealant have been put to use. There was enough clay to use for 3 different grade levels. They took their projects home for holiday break. In this short time my littles are enjoying exploring many of the manipulatives you purchased.\r\n\r\nThey enjoy sorting the different items and having to put them in the correct tub. The fun part is trying to put them inside which requires their fine motor skills which is a plus!\r\n\r\nThe design builders are also a hit as they have discovered how to build letters, numbers, shapes, and other inventions. They get exposed to different art styles, writing styles, authors and even languages. \r\n\r\nWe are truly appreciative of all the books afforded to us.
