My students truly enjoyed all the snacks and it really helped them with choosing snacks that are better than hot unhealthy chips.\r\n\r\nThe snacks lasted about 2-3 weeks and it was extremely helpful! Your kindness and generosity will always be remembered by my students. With your generous donation, my students learned that there are people that care for them even though they have not met them. During stations and small group time, students will use the magnifying glasses to see how classroom objects look while magnified. They love the magnets and it is helping them learn the north pole and south pole on the magnets. They are learning that the opposite poles attract each other and the same poles repel each other. They get so excited when they go to stations now because there is more activities to do now. \r\n\r\nThe students have science books to help them learn more about science, their environment, and the world they live in. The new science materials have helped us so much that we decided to go on a field trip to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History the end of March. They are so excited to go and now they will have background or prior knowledge with the science materials that were donated by Cox Enterprises. They are learning that the sun is a star and the moon is made of rock. Lots of great information they did not know about. Students are coming up with great ideas on how to design the S.T.E.M. cars we received. My teacher assistant and I are so proud and amazed by the growth we are seeing with the new materials. Students are asking questions about what type of glass is in the magnifying glass and how do magnets attract and repel objects. \r\n\r\nWe thank Cox Enterprises so much for helping our students appreciate and have a huge impact on sparking an interest in science. All students need science and sometimes it is neglected due to lack of materials or focusing so much on math, reading, and writing. We are so happy our classroom was chosen for the science materials. Not only have you helped my students that are currently in my classroom but my future students as well. I will tell my future students that our science materials were given to us by Cox Enterprises who knows the importance of helping students learn and appreciate science.","fullyFundedDate":1731097045714,"projectUrl":"project/my-curious-1st-grade-science-superstars/8920716/","projectTitle":"My Curious 1st grade Science Superstars!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jacobs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8456626_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757408866105","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8456626"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29850","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":204,"numTeachers":7,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":96,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"29.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":54.5,"schoolId":29850,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about St Anthony Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"St Anthony Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/st-anthony-school/29850"}
