Through their contributions, we have introduced the LEGO Education SPIKE Robotics kits to students in grades 3 through 5, allowing a total of 51 students to explore and enjoy building innovative robot projects utilizing this new technology. I encourage students to employ their creativity and problem-solving skills as they incorporate coding into their projects.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, our students use Minecraft-based lessons to strengthen their mathematical understanding, linking digital literacy with core academic skills. Our PK through 2nd grade students are enthusiastic about reading and foundational coding skills, facilitated by Scratch project books. The LEGO Education SPIKE Essential kits empower them to imagine and construct their own creations, fostering creativity and critical thinking.\r\n\r\nThe excitement and joy I observe in students' faces whenever they discover new resources in our computer lab is truly rewarding. To ensure equitable access, I have organized rotation stations, giving all students the opportunity for hands-on engagement with the robots, books, and LEGO sets.\r\n\r\nWith summer approaching, I am planning to establish summer enrichment clubs to provide continued, engaging learning experiences. These programs will allow students to further explore the STEAM and robotics materials made possible by our donors.\r\n\r\nI strongly encourage all students to participate in the robotics enrichment activities, as they provide valuable opportunities for skill development and preparation for future competitions.","fullyFundedDate":1763568502799,"projectUrl":"project/robotics-coding-for-all-of-our-student/9884509/","projectTitle":"Robotics & Coding for ALL of Our Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Aguilar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2327946_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1455234122819","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/aguilarj"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26249","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":184,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":34,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.5,"schoolId":26249,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about East Fort Worth Montessori Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"East Fort Worth Montessori Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/east-ft-worth-montessori-acad/26249"}
