Our scholars were super excited when they learned that they would be getting a classroom store! they were able to get rewarded with snacks and goodies for doing their best (which looks different for each scholar). I am an 8th grade teacher, so at this age the students really ask for food a lot! As you may know, some scholars can't afford snacks to bring to school and that saddens me. As a teacher with a family of my own, I try my best to bring snacks for my class, however with 150 students I am limited. \r\n\r\nThanks to you, every scholar was able to get a treat! We appreciate your generosity from the bottom of our hearts. I am so grateful for a platform like Donors choose to allow us to create a wishlist to provide for our hard working scholars. We are the only A middle school campus in our district and it is nice to reward them for their hard work. Once again we thank you for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1746785675302,"projectUrl":"project/help-fuel-our-students-success-suppor/9143430/","projectTitle":"Help Fuel Our Students' Success – Support Our Classroom Store!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sharpe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9551171_orig.jpg?crop=1075,1075,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1716241320399","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9551171"},{"teacherId":9804495,"projectId":9100456,"letterContent":"1.The new resources have made a noticeable difference in our daily classroom activities. Students now use highlighters to mark important information that directly applies to them, and they love choosing their favorite colors instead of being limited to just yellow. During our STAAR review sessions, we incorporated expo markers for desk-based problem-solving games. This made the activities more interactive and fun—students could quickly erase and solve the next problem, which kept the energy high and the focus sharp.\r\n\r\n2.They were genuinely excited! Many students commented on how nice it was to have access to fresh pencils and highlighters in various colors. Our new pencil system ensured that everyone started class prepared, and no one had to use colored pencils or pens to complete assignments anymore. That small change brought a lot more consistency and ease to their learning.\r\n\r\n3.Right now, we're wrapping up the school year with intensive review packets in preparation for STAAR. These packets allow students to revisit key concepts and practice at their own pace. Thanks to the materials, they're able to highlight, annotate, and solve problems efficiently, staying more engaged in the process. The next step is to continue using these tools to build confidence and reinforce mastery ahead of testing.\r\n\r\nThank you for your donation!","fullyFundedDate":1739473120327,"projectUrl":"project/the-must-haves-for-effective-math-learni/9100456/","projectTitle":"The Must-Haves for Effective Math Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Priego","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9804495"},{"teacherId":9551171,"projectId":8913610,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, I was able to create a safe, supportive, and discreet space for the girls in my classroom by stocking a dedicated closet with feminine hygiene products. I had a private and empowering talk with all the girls, letting them know that my classroom would always be a judgment-free zone where they could get what they needed without embarrassment. Having grab-and-go pouches ready for them has made a world of difference—one that goes far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe girls' reactions were a mix of surprise, relief, and gratitude. Many of them told me how much they appreciated not having to go to the front office to ask for products, which can feel uncomfortable and even embarrassing at times. It's amazing how something so simple can preserve a student's dignity and allow them to focus on learning, not worrying about personal needs. Now, they come in with confidence, knowing they have support whenever they need it.","fullyFundedDate":1740699009858,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-support-girls-in-need-with-essen/8913610/","projectTitle":"Help Us Support Girls in Need With Essential Hygiene Products","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sharpe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9551171_orig.jpg?crop=1075,1075,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1716241320399","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9551171"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_97334","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":816,"numTeachers":62,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":24,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":64,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":52.1,"schoolId":97334,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dr Edward Roberson Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Dr Edward Roberson Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/spring-independent-school-district/roberson-middle-school/97334"}
