The new materials have made a significant difference in our classroom. One specific project we worked on involved students using the new instruments and music stands to perform a collaborative piece. We focused on a challenging piece of music that not only worked on their technical skills but also encouraged creativity. The students worked in small groups to perfect different sections, and the new resources allowed them to stay organized and focused, ultimately leading to a more productive rehearsal environment.\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their reactions were priceless. They were thrilled and so thankful to have new instruments, music stands, and other supplies that they could truly rely on. Many of them expressed how much it meant to have better-quality equipment, especially since some of the older materials were difficult to use. Their excitement was contagious, and it really boosted their confidence in their abilities. It was a moment of pure joy and motivation to continue learning and improving.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students are to continue refining their performance of the collaborative piece we've been practicing. We'll focus on developing more complex techniques, such as dynamics and articulation, while encouraging students to bring their own creativity into their individual parts. They will also be preparing for an upcoming performance to showcase the skills they've learned. With the new resources, they are able to practice with more precision and confidence. We are incredibly thankful for the support that has allowed them to have these tools, and we can't wait to see how their growth continues. These supplies have truly made a difference in their musical journey.","fullyFundedDate":1724083839764,"projectUrl":"project/band-educational-needs/8630698/","projectTitle":"Band Educational Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Simpson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9650170_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743693216895","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9650170"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_24275","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1028,"numTeachers":69,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":42,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.3,"schoolId":24275,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bailey Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bailey Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/spring-independent-school-district/bailey-middle-school/24275"}
