Many adults use technology daily, but the power of this technology inside a classroom is truly transformative. With updated equipment and the ability to run Autodesk Revit smoothly, my students can now design full architectural models, explore structural systems, and understand real-world design concepts in a way that books, worksheets, and lectures simply cannot offer. This project has helped my students bridge the gap between theory and hands-on application, giving them the same tools used by professional architects, engineers, and designers.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in the classroom has been immediate and contagious. Students eagerly log into Revit each day to work on floor plans, elevation studies, and 3D models of homes, sheds, and small structures. Many of them have never seen software like this before, and their reactions—\"This looks real!\" \"I can't believe I made this!\"—capture how meaningful your donation truly is. The new tools have allowed them to take pride in designing something from scratch and watching it come alive in a virtual space. They are learning precision, scale, and problem-solving in ways that feel fun and empowering, and the confidence they gain with each completed model is noticeable.\r\n\r\nThis project has especially impacted a few students who previously struggled to stay engaged in traditional instruction. One student who rarely spoke in class has become one of our strongest designers, spending extra time refining details and helping classmates troubleshoot their models. Another student who wants to become an engineer told me, \"Now I feel like I'm actually learning what I'll use in the future.\" Moments like these remind me how powerful the right tools can be. Your support isn't just providing software—it's opening doors, building career pathways, and giving my students the chance to see themselves as future architects, engineers, and creators. Thank you for believing in them and investing in their success.","fullyFundedDate":1761340751663,"projectUrl":"project/architects-in-training-unlocking-revit/9757850/","projectTitle":"Architects in Training: Unlocking Revit With the Right Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Farias","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4063302_orig.jpg?crop=919,919,x616,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723584399905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4063302"},{"teacherId":10225241,"projectId":9655798,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my students have been able to explore hands-on learning in ways that truly bring our lessons to life. We've been using the new resources every week, and they've completely transformed the way we approach our projects. Recently, my students worked together on a complete electrical circut using the new materials. Seeing them collaborate, problem-solve, and take pride in their work has been one of the most rewarding experiences of the year.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement in the room was incredible. My students couldn't wait to open the boxes and start exploring. Many of them commented on how these tools made them feel like real professionals in their field, and it has motivated them to push their learning even further. It's amazing how the right resources can spark curiosity and confidence in every student.\r\n\r\nWe're now building on this momentum with our next project, where students will be able to work on a model house using the materials. Your contribution didn't just provide materials—it provided opportunity, inspiration, and a sense of pride that my students will carry with them long after this project. Many of my students had only seen 3D printing online or in videos, so watching their digital designs come to life right in our classroom has been a transformative experience. They're learning how to convert Revit and AutoCAD models into physical prototypes—bridging the gap between blueprints and real-world builds. The ability to visualize, print, and refine their designs has given them a new sense of pride and ownership in their learning.\r\n\r\nThe excitement around the printer has been incredible. Students line up during class and even after school to print keychains, tool holders, model houses, and custom logos for our Diamondback Construction projects. It has inspired creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving as they troubleshoot filament types, slicing settings, and scaling models to perfection. One student who was previously hesitant about technology has become one of our lead designers—he now helps others learn the software and operates the printer with confidence. This project has truly sparked curiosity and confidence across the board.","fullyFundedDate":1758688752051,"projectUrl":"project/diamondback-construction-from-blueprint/9663216/","projectTitle":"Diamondback Construction: From Blueprints to Builds With 3D Printing","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Farias","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4063302_orig.jpg?crop=919,919,x616,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723584399905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4063302"},{"teacherId":4063302,"projectId":9547604,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom is now equipped with two mounted TVs that have transformed the way we learn and collaborate. Many of you may use screens daily at home, but in our construction program, these TVs serve a much bigger purpose—they allow us to track live requisitions, project updates, and safety reminders in real time. Students can see their requests posted, follow along with progress, and connect the dots between technology and hands-on work, just like they would on a professional jobsite.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students has been seeing their work displayed live on the big screens. Whether it's a request moving from \"Open\" to \"Completed,\" a safety video, or digital plans, they love watching how their efforts connect to results. The TVs have also created a more engaging environment—students are more motivated to stay on task, share ideas, and take pride in their progress.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who used to hang back during discussions, now jumps in eagerly whenever updates are projected on the screens. He has become our \"tech leader,\" helping classmates navigate the system and explaining how to track their projects. These TVs have done more than modernize our classroom—they've given students confidence, ownership, and a sense of professionalism that will carry into their future careers.\r\n\r\n \r\nRaul Farias & the Diamondback Construction Students","fullyFundedDate":1755648104890,"projectUrl":"project/building-skills-live-requisition-tracki/9547604/","projectTitle":"Building Skills: Live Requisition Tracking for Student Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Farias","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4063302_orig.jpg?crop=919,919,x616,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723584399905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4063302"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_107969","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1492,"numTeachers":97,"percentFrplEligible":92,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":92,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":79.7,"schoolId":107969,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sharyland Pioneer High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sharyland Pioneer High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/sharyland-independent-school-district/sharyland-pioneer-high-school/107969"}
