Last school year did not turn out the way that I planned, and it impacted my ability to use the resources you all so kindly funded!\r\n\r\nThe books that most positively impacted my classroom were the leveled Oxford Picture Dictionary workbooks. I was able to differentiate for my various levels of newcomer English learners, which allowed for more learning and less frustration and boredom! Students enjoyed learning so much new vocabulary at their own level. I will continue to utilize the workbooks in the coming school year!\r\n\r\nThe Easy Reading for ESL books were less utilized that I had planned and hoped for, but I was able to get my intermediate learners more challenged in the reading that the books offered--they especially like reading the stories aloud in partners. I plan to continue using the books again this upcoming school year.\r\n\r\nI truly appreciate your support for my newcomer students.
