This simple yet powerful piece of equipment provides benefits that extend far beyond playtime.\r\nThe teeter-totter encourages gross motor skills, balance, and coordination. As children push off the ground and work to maintain equilibrium, they strengthen core muscles and improve overall physical fitness in a fun, engaging way.\r\nThis equipment fosters cooperation and communication. Children learn to take turns, negotiate, and work together to create movement. These interactions build empathy, patience, and teamwork—skills essential for lifelong success.\r\nThrough play, students experience cause-and-effect relationships and develop problem-solving skills. They learn that their actions directly influence outcomes, reinforcing early STEM concepts in a natural, playful setting.\r\nAdding this equipment has helped to transform our playground into an even more dynamic learning environment, supporting the whole child—physically, socially, and cognitively. We deeply appreciate your support in making this vision a reality.","fullyFundedDate":1760710388712,"projectUrl":"project/building-an-outdoor-area-for-all-student/9765254/","projectTitle":"Building an Outdoor Area for All Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Woelfel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6564795_orig.jpg?crop=984,983,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745515381534","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6564795"},{"teacherId":6564795,"projectId":9724884,"letterContent":"Imagine the laughter of children echoing across our playground—the sound of pure joy as they work together to make a teeter-totter move up and down. That's what we are hearing! This simple piece of equipment is so much more than a toy; it's an opportunity for our PK3 through second-grade students to learn, grow, and connect in meaningful ways.\r\nPlay is the language of childhood. On a teeter-totter, children learn balance and coordination, but they also learn something deeper: cooperation, trust, and friendship. They discover that working together creates movement, and that joy is best when shared.\r\nTogether, we are creating a playground that isn't just a place to play, but a space where children learn life lessons, build friendships, and feel the joy of being part of a caring community.\r\nYour generosity brings smiles, laughter, and growth to every child who climbs aboard.","fullyFundedDate":1758796816913,"projectUrl":"project/building-an-outdoor-space-for-all-studen/9724884/","projectTitle":"Building an Outdoor Space for All Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Woelfel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6564795_orig.jpg?crop=984,983,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745515381534","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6564795"},{"teacherId":6564795,"projectId":9268436,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the colorful new tree swings! Today our maintenance man finally had time to put them up, and the children were all smiles. They giggled with delight as they swept through the air. With three swings, there was plenty of room for all the children. It was so sweet to hear them offer to take turns pushing each other. They were singing and laughing the whole time.
