We have implemented \"Fresh Clean Friday\", which takes place every other week. Students look forward to making their areas nice and clean. They help one another out with hard to get areas, work together to make sure their leaning spaces are clear of dirt, dust or anything we may have used throughout the course of the week. We love the excitement that comes to their faces when they see on our visual schedule that we will be cleaning. Some even asked to have music playing as they are cleaning, leading to singing and dancing as cleaning is taking place. \r\n\r\nWhen the items first arrived our students were not sure what was going to happen, they saw pull-ups, cleaning cloths, spray bottles, soap and a large box of paper. One student asked if we were going to be giving baths to animals in the neighborhood! As we sorted through the items and began to talk about keeping our areas clean the excitement began to build. We are happy to see that our students are developing a positive attitude to cleaning and maintaining a clean space. \r\n\r\nAs we move forward with the project our students will gain the independence to manage their own tables and assigned center area. The pride that they have when they receive two thumbs up for cleanliness can be seen in their faces and posture as they stand proud. We have been able to continue to use the paper to create visuals for our students that are minimal verbal and excited when they attempt to engage in singing or responding to questions through picture exchange systems. We are also proud to announce that we have been able to get 2 of our 3 potty trainees to use the pull ups throughout the day and attempt to maintain dry as they navigate through the use of the restroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746783004701,"projectUrl":"project/squeaky-clean-skills/9184233/","projectTitle":"Squeaky Clean Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Natalie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9603334_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733710325622","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-natalie-coteach"},{"teacherId":8156112,"projectId":8640992,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the colorful paper, flexible seating, folders, and storage bins, they were so excited.
