Once I received all the resources, I began the full program with my students and they are really enjoying the new activities! They are so excited to receive these chairs. They walk eagerly to Resource. In some of my larger groups, students have created a rotation on the days they can to sit in the wobble chairs. \r\n\r\nThe students reacted so enthusiastically when they first saw the wobble chairs. They asked if the chairs were for them. When I told them they were, they were very happy. They said thank you repeatedly.\r\n\r\nThe next step on this project is to create another project for two additional wobble chairs to accommodate my larger groups and possibly include a couple of balancing balls.\r\n\r\nI would personally like to thank you. I have noticed an improvement in student engagement with the addition of these wobble chairs. Students are able to wiggle and wobble while listening and participating in the lesson. It has increased student engagement. It is a wonderful addition to my IMSE reading program which is very interactive and hands-on. Also, students that come to my classroom for breaks have been able to use the wobble chairs, calm themselves, and return to class. They have overall increased productivity among my students.","fullyFundedDate":1740173510577,"projectUrl":"project/wobble-chairs-for-mrs-lamb-matlocks-le/9066247/","projectTitle":"Wobble Chairs for Mrs. Lamb-Matlock's Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lamb-Matlock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3019666_orig.jpg?crop=2045,2045,x921,y1038&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757699040182","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3019666"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15481","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":354,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":96,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":65.8,"schoolId":15481,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hillcrest Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hillcrest Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/san-antonio-independent-school-district/hillcrest-elementary-school/15481"}
