They are using the wobble bands during Resource class and in the general education setting. The cushions are being used for reading centers and activities on our carpet. The rocker chair is at my small group table and the students love to rock in it when they are completing fluency activities. They are so excited to receive these chairs, rockers, bands, and cushions. They walk eagerly to Resource and pick their seat of choice. There are now enough options that all the students in my groups can have a wobble chair if they choose.\r\n\r\nThe students reacted so enthusiastically when they first saw the additional wobble chairs and cushions. They were unsure of the rocker chair. No one chose it originally until they came up and sat in it during fluency testing. Now they love it! They love the colors of the cushions and that they can choose their favorite color to sit on and read to their book buddies.\r\n\r\nThe next step will be to upkeep these chairs and cushions so that many other students will have the opportunity to benefit from them. I will be creating a project soon for headphones with microphones. Now that we have flexible seating, we are eager to work on our speech to text.\r\n\r\nI would personally like to thank you. I have noticed an improvement in student engagement with the addition of these wobble chairs, rocker chairs, bands, and cushions. Students are able to wiggle and wobble while listening and participating in the lesson. It has increased student engagement. It is a wonderful addition to my Reading By Design reading program which is very interactive and hands-on. It is also a great addition to the students who work on Lexia and work in rotating centers with the computer, skill builders, and small group instruction. The flexible seating has overall continued to increase productivity among my students.\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nMrs. Lamb-Matlock","fullyFundedDate":1764729110953,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-all/9710888/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating For All","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lamb-Matlock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3019666_orig.jpg?crop=2045,2045,x921,y1038&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757699040182","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3019666"},{"teacherId":10218969,"projectId":9643713,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donation.
