Your support has made an immediate and meaningful impact on our daily learning.\r\n\r\nSince the document camera arrived, it has transformed the way my students engage with lessons. I can now project books, math models, writing samples, and science materials in real time, allowing every student to clearly see and follow along. This has been especially helpful for my visual learners, who are now more confident and eager during whole-group instruction.\r\n\r\nThe document camera has also made our lessons more interactive. Students love coming up to share their work under the lens, explaining their thinking to the class. This has boosted participation and helped build a stronger, more supportive learning community. Even complex tasks—like showing step-by-step problem-solving or demonstrating small science experiments—are now easier for all students to understand.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students access to tools that help make learning clearer, more engaging, and more equitable. We are truly grateful for your kindness and for believing in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us grow.","fullyFundedDate":1760622841916,"projectUrl":"project/see-what-i-see-a-document-camera-for-en/9419378/","projectTitle":"See What I See: A Document Camera for Engaged Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Zamarripa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4275719_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729267869756","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4275719"},{"teacherId":8895413,"projectId":9117458,"letterContent":"It has been such a joy witnessing the impact your donation has had on my Colt Scholars! Thanks to your incredible generosity, our Colt Library now has a Lego Wall that has quickly become a favorite spot for our students. The wall has transformed into a space where students can extend their reading by building scenes, characters, and settings from the books they're exploring. For example, after reading The Three Little Pigs, a group of second graders collaborated to design their own versions of sturdy houses on the Lego Wall—testing their creativity while deepening their understanding of the story.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on their faces when they first saw the Lego Wall was unforgettable. Students gasped, cheered, and immediately began brainstorming what they could create. Many of them expressed how much they look forward to coming to the library because now they don't just get to read stories—they get to bring them to life.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using the Lego Wall to retell stories, visualize book settings, and even design book award logos for our upcoming Class Book Awards project. It has become an interactive storytelling tool that sparks both imagination and collaboration.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly made an impact on our Colt Nation, and we are deeply grateful for the way you've enriched our students' love for reading and learning.","fullyFundedDate":1746877380211,"projectUrl":"project/building-bright-minds-a-lego-wall-for-c/9117458/","projectTitle":"Building Bright Minds: A Lego Wall for Creative Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Peña","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8895413_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674394129882","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8895413"},{"teacherId":8535073,"projectId":8763344,"letterContent":"My students and I are forever grateful for this huge donation of headphones have made in helping my students to listen intently on whatever program they are doing at the moment. Before we had only some headphones that worked and students that didn't have any they were always distracted and fully engaged in the work. Now they can truly listen! Kinder is the fundamental grade for phonics and they must truly listen to capture pronunciation being that we are in bilingual class. \r\n\r\nThe new headphones was most excited to my students when they saw that they had cat ears! :) But most importantly after the the excitement of looking like cats, they commented that they could finally hear only their own computer and not the whole class. \r\n\r\nThe whole class has warmed up with the headphones, that i can finally work quietly with my small group intervention, while others do their daily language support with headphones.","fullyFundedDate":1736172970944,"projectUrl":"project/listening-without-barriers/8763344/","projectTitle":"Listening, Without Barriers!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. M.Garza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8535073_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698115185593","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8535073"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16677","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":627,"numTeachers":48,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":99,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":52.2,"schoolId":16677,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roque Guerra Junior Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roque Guerra Junior Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/rio-grande-city-independent-school-district/roque-guerra-elementary-school/16677"}
