One special moment was watching my Pre-K 4 students build their names for the very first time using the magnetic letters on our board. They were so proud to find each letter and match it correctly. We also use the letters to practice identifying uppercase and lowercase letters, matching letters to beginning sounds, and building simple CVC words together as a class.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were beyond excited. They immediately wanted to explore the letters and see if they could find the letters in their names. The hands-on experience has made learning letters and sounds much more engaging and meaningful for them. Even my quieter students are more confident participating during literacy time.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we are now moving into focusing on letter sounds and blending simple words. Our next steps include daily name-building practice, sound recognition games, and using the magnetic letters to strengthen early reading skills. These resources are helping lay a strong literacy foundation for my students, and we are so thankful for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1765980582749,"projectUrl":"project/phonics-power/9652656/","projectTitle":"Phonics Power","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Oglesby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9455530_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757618948015","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9455530"},{"teacherId":9455530,"projectId":9553501,"letterContent":"My students and I have been using our new math resources every day during our small group and center time. The materials have been a huge help in teaching number recognition and counting skills. We recently worked on a counting project where students used hands-on manipulatives to count, build numbers, and match quantities. Seeing them physically move and count the objects has made a big difference in their understanding.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were so excited! They couldn't wait to touch and explore everything. Their excitement made our math time even more engaging and meaningful.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we are now moving into counting beyond 10 and practicing one-to-one correspondence. Each child now has their own special place to keep belongings such as backpacks, coats, and personal items. This may seem small, but to young children it provides a powerful sense of ownership, security, and independence.\r\n\r\nHaving a designated cubby helps students feel that they belong in the classroom community—it's \"their space\" in a world that often feels big and overwhelming. It also supports daily routines by keeping our classroom organized and teaching children responsibility for their items. For many of my students, who come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, this is the first time they've had something of their very own at school.","fullyFundedDate":1636980088133,"projectUrl":"project/personal-cubbie-space/5850008/","projectTitle":"Personal Cubbie Space","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Forward","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6261519"},{"teacherId":9455530,"projectId":8959651,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing snacks for my students!
