The day the supplies arrived, my students were bubbling with excitement—each of them eagerly selected their new materials and proudly labeled their notebooks, ready to begin their writing journey. These tools gave my students a sense of ownership over their work, and I immediately noticed an increase in their confidence and enthusiasm during writing time.\r\n\r\nWith these new resources, we've been able to launch daily writing journals where students practice forming sentences, expressing ideas, and adding illustrations to their stories. One memorable moment was when a student who typically hesitated to write independently used her new crayons to illustrate a detailed picture of her family and then proudly wrote a full sentence to describe it. That sense of joy and accomplishment is exactly what I hoped this project would bring.
