I placed an order for Legos for my classroom, but of course was denied based on \"toys.\" Students can learn so much more through \"playing\" than pencil and paper. The students start with a pixilated drawing on a grid paper. They color in the squares and plan out their sculpture. After, they build the 3D version with the wooden blocks and wood glue. They are able to paint the cubes with liquid watercolor. It is also an amazing math lesson. The students will calculate area and perimeter and make connections to the real world. Our school does not have a kiln, so this is the best option. We have a few different types of clay to use. They are all air dry and painted with mod podge. The students learn techniques and are creative. They love it! Our iPad station had students eager to learn but the noise level coming from those iPads was disrupting the entire classroom. That noise level was preventing our students from visiting the tech station on a regular basis.\r\n\r\nWhen our materials arrived, my Kindergarten students were happy to open the Donor's Choose boxes. They immediately wanted to test the headphones to make sure that they fit the iPads. The bright colors were a huge plus. A group of students selected their favorite color of headphones and ran over to the iPads. They plugged their headphones, got their QR codes and went straight into their reading and math activities. What a difference! The noise level in that station was non-existent.\r\n\r\nYour support has made an amazing difference by creating a focused and engaged learning environment. With their new headphones, students can now become fully immersed in interactive iPad activities without the noise level. The iPad station is in full swing and helping students build literacy and math skills.
