The snack cart has helped meet students' basic needs, allowing them to focus, self-regulate, and remain engaged in learning. For many of my students, having access to a snack reduces anxiety, improves behavior, and supports emotional regulation, which directly increases instructional time.\r\n\r\nThe games have transformed learning into a more positive and interactive experience. They provide structured opportunities for my students to practice communication, turn-taking, problem-solving, and social skills in a natural, low-pressure setting. Games also serve as a powerful motivator and reinforcement tool, encouraging participation and perseverance while building confidence.\r\n\r\nTogether, these resources have helped create a calmer, more inclusive classroom where students feel supported, motivated, and ready to learn. Because of this project, my classroom is more focused, collaborative, and joyful, allowing my students to experience greater success both academically and socially.","fullyFundedDate":1768919860229,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-and-snacks/10031773/","projectTitle":"Supplies and Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hess","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8701938"},{"teacherId":8701938,"projectId":9637787,"letterContent":"The requested materials had a direct and meaningful impact on student learning by supporting engagement, accessibility, and skill development across instructional activities. Laminated learning materials allowed for repeated use, enabling students to practice skills through hands-on, interactive activities while maintaining an organized and efficient classroom environment. Reusable resources promoted consistency in instruction and allowed students to revisit concepts multiple times, which supported mastery and retention.\r\n\r\nWooden puzzles provided students with opportunities to strengthen problem-solving, critical thinking, and fine motor skills through developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning experiences. These activities encouraged exploration, perseverance, and creativity while supporting cognitive growth in an engaging and motivating way. For many students, tactile learning tools increased focus and understanding, especially when abstract concepts were paired with concrete materials.\r\n\r\nChromebook chargers ensured that technology remained accessible to all students throughout the instructional day. Reliable access to charged devices allowed students to fully participate in digital learning activities, research, creative projects, and educational programs without interruption. This supported equitable access to instruction and helped maintain student engagement during technology-based lessons.\r\n\r\nTogether, these materials created a classroom environment that was interactive, inclusive, and supportive of diverse learning styles. By combining hands-on resources with reliable technology access, students remained engaged, challenged, and empowered to explore, create, and succeed every day.","fullyFundedDate":1756405919065,"projectUrl":"project/puzzles-power-and-protected-learning/9637787/","projectTitle":"Puzzles, Power, and Protected Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hess","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8701938"},{"teacherId":4642430,"projectId":9569155,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for helping provide the books so that we could read The Hunger Games in my classroom. I have students who are begging to continue with the book. We have stopped at the end of Part 1 for a project related to this first portion of the book. Multiple students have been reading ahead because they don't want to wait, and others are already asking if we will be reading the next book. This is year 18 of my teaching career and I don't know that I have ever had this much excitement about reading a book in class. This wouldn't be possible without you and their excitement has been fanning the flames of this teacher. \r\n\r\nWe will continue reading and hope to finish The Hunger Games before Christmas break. Making and selling bracelets is one of their favorite things to do. We were able to have a pizza party at the end of last school year thanks to money generated from the sales. Of course, their favorite thing to do is when they are allowed to design and make a bracelet for themselves.\r\n\r\n The purpose of bracelets is to help with many life skills that a lot of us would take for granted. Learning how to follow directions and patterns, time management, accountability, and so many other positive skills. We let them design their own bracelets to help them embrace and explore their artistic side and individuality. By selling the bracelets they must interact with their peers and learn about money (math) and get over their fear of talking to strangers (in a safe environment).
