My students now eagerly spend time there during independent reading, small group activities, and our weekly \"Cozy Reading Hour.\" One particularly memorable moment was when a group of students gathered in the nook, swapping their favorite books and sharing what they liked about each story. The bean bags have provided a cozy, welcoming spot for them to immerse themselves in their reading.\r\n\r\nWhen the bean bags first arrived, the excitement in the room was electric. Students immediately ran to try them out, marveling at how comfortable they were. One student exclaimed, \"This is so comfy!\" and another said it felt like \"sitting on a cloud,\" capturing the sense of warmth I hoped to create. Since then, the bean bags have become the most sought-after spots in the classroom, inspiring a new enthusiasm for reading.\r\n\r\nThis excitement has carried over into our reading program, where students are working in comprehension and fluency skills. The book nook has been the heart of this project, offering a space where students can dive into their books and reflect on their learning and continue to develop their reading skills. Your generosity has made this possible, and I am deeply grateful for your role in fostering a love of reading in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1726712071664,"projectUrl":"project/bean-bags-and-book-worms/8726961/","projectTitle":"Bean Bags and Book Worms","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ogo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7567040_orig.png?crop=762,762,x773,y778&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757967406828","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/classroom-resources"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_10437","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":3409,"numTeachers":183,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":35,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.0,"schoolId":10437,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ronald Reagan High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ronald Reagan High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/north-east-independent-school-district/ronald-reagan-high-school/10437"}
