We are using some of these new math materials on a daily basis during our math station rotations. We use them during fine motor skill times and during different math content days with topics that include measurement, graphing, time, money, geometry, and number sense. In measurement, the students live playing the How Tall Am I game. For graphing, we use the fun fruit manipulatives and the Lakeshore sorting boards to create graphs of the different types of fruit. The shape sorting mats are wonderfully differentiated so we can use them with all levels of learners as they rotate through the geometry stations. Overall, they have made a huge impact to our learning.","fullyFundedDate":1745424104471,"projectUrl":"project/making-math-fun-for-all-learners/9265255/","projectTitle":"Making Math Fun for All Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bryson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6571931"},{"teacherId":6571931,"projectId":9052221,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all of the wonderful, engaging learning materials. The students get so excited to use them. The materials are all very hands-on and colorful, which makes them more exciting to use. They are so motivating, that a few students will actually complete other (less exciting) work in order to gain access to using them. \r\nWe have been working a lot on foundational reading skills and decoding. All of the rhyming materials and the splash games that isolate sounds have been extremely helpful. Our lower students need some help with fine motor skills and items, such as the ice cream scoop and animal builders, address this in a fun way.","fullyFundedDate":1736818823579,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-new-classroom-for-students-with/9052221/","projectTitle":"Help Our New Classroom for Students with Special Needs!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bryson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6571931"},{"teacherId":6571931,"projectId":8980030,"letterContent":"Thank you kindly for the wonderful learning materials. I have a group of students who are working on blending cvc words and understanding the concepts of rhyming and word families. The set of word family readers has been an amazing addition to our classroom. The multiple copies of the fun colorful, engaging books have allowed us to engage in our reading as a small group. The kids are humored by the book topics and illustrations. I have never seen them so engaged and trying their best to read the words on their own. They also are working harder in order to earn short breaks with some of the new motivating toys that were part of this project. They love the magnetic robots and the racing dinosaur cars. They even try working together to build a successful marble maze. Your gifts are greatly appreciated and used daily.","fullyFundedDate":1733342492539,"projectUrl":"project/redland-ale-class/8980030/","projectTitle":"Redland ALE Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bryson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6571931"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9249","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":328,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":85,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":54,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":85.2,"schoolId":9249,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Redland Oaks Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Redland Oaks Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/north-east-independent-school-district/redland-oaks-elementary-school/9249"}
