Using Tinkercad as their canvas, students take the lead in their own education, designing intricate models that range from heartfelt gifts to their own collector's items. \r\n\r\nThis shift to design-thinking has made the library a lab for leadership, where students are not just completing tasks but are learning how to solve problems from scratch. They navigate the challenge of 3D geometry with a focus that turns the library into a hive of intentional, student-led growth.\r\n\r\nEach unique object represents hours of technical revision. In this environment, the most impressive thing being built isn't just a 3D model, but it is the collective confidence of a generation of creators.","fullyFundedDate":1746783044179,"projectUrl":"project/library-learning-the-possibility-of-3d/9224850/","projectTitle":"Library Learning: The Possibility of 3D Printing Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stewart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9980965_orig.png?crop=711,711,x334,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743643546849","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msstewartthelibrarian"},{"teacherId":3530660,"projectId":9348950,"letterContent":"I can't wait to hear the 'oohs and aahs' when my students see our new items donated to our classroom! For a middle schooler bridging two worlds, seeing their native tongue isn't just helpful—it feels like being seen. \r\n\r\nIt provides a soft place to land, offering the comfort of the familiar while they bravely venture into the \"new\" territory of English. These books act as a bridge of belonging, allowing them to grow their wings without ever having to forget their roots.\r\n\r\nTo keep that love going, I will begin wrapping the books in clear covers from day one, preserving the vibrant art as the books journey from school to the bedside. \r\n\r\nI see our students take them home not just for themselves, but to read aloud to a younger brother or sister, letting two languages fill their living rooms and plant seeds of growth for the whole family.","fullyFundedDate":1746783030696,"projectUrl":"project/bridging-cultures-with-bilingual-books/9211284/","projectTitle":"Bridging Cultures with Bilingual Books","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stewart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9980965_orig.png?crop=711,711,x334,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743643546849","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msstewartthelibrarian"},{"teacherId":9980965,"projectId":9224869,"letterContent":"Since receiving these materials, my students were only gathering once a week in the library to create with Perler beads. What started as two beaders here, three beaders there quickly grew into more than a crafting activity—it became a robust group of 15+ students. They weren't just making objects; they were making friends. What I noticed, what became evidence to me, was the way this space became both an escape and a rendezvous. Picture this: seeing them focused, chatting, laughing, and supporting one another as they worked—it was a powerful reminder of the positive impact they were having on each other. After reading The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, it became clear how much this small group has helped to quell anxiety while fostering creativity, focus, and collaboration.\r\n\r\nWe are grateful for these beads—these tiny gifts—which, when combined, were more than the sum of the whole. They ignited a passion for creation and giving. Our students used this passion to give back, creating over 100 gifts for teachers at Thanksgiving, honoring 20 special education teachers, and making flags for local veterans. These acts of kindness inspired pride, loyalty, and purpose, showing students the impact their creativity can have on others. Each bead helps us piece together not just art, but a little more peace.","fullyFundedDate":1746783017369,"projectUrl":"project/pixelated-possibilities-crafting-creati/9224869/","projectTitle":"Pixelated Possibilities: Crafting Creativity with Perler Beads!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stewart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9980965_orig.png?crop=711,711,x334,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743643546849","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msstewartthelibrarian"},{"teacherId":9987973,"projectId":9218846,"letterContent":"All of these items have made a wonderful impact in my classroom. Students are motivated to do well and focus on their work in order to earn a bean bag seat. These seats have been amazing in my classroom and my students love them. \r\n\r\nThe lights have been a great addition in my room as well.
