I work in a very economically disadvantaged title 1 school. I teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. The kids were so excited to read on our new rug today ! I also have a partially blind student. He was so excited to sit on the rug, and be able to sit with his classmates as we read aloud today. Right now for 3rd grade we are doing a lot of reading. The kids like to practice reading aloud in order to become great readers. Fluency and engagement can be a struggle with reading. The kids like to have a diverse classroom environment.
