The headphones have made a huge difference during independent work — students can focus better, hear instructions clearly, and work at their own pace without distractions. Altogether, it's created a much smoother and more focused learning environment.\r\n\r\nMy students love having their \"own\" pair of clean, working headphones. It makes them feel responsible and more excited to use their learning apps, listen to stories, or complete digital activities. They also get excited seeing all the devices neatly charging and ready to go. \r\n\r\nSeveral of my students who struggle to focus have especially benefitted from the headphones. Being able to block out noise helps them stay calm and engaged. I also have a few students who are very enthusiastic about technology; they love helping make sure everything is plugged in and organized in the charging station each day. It has given them a sense of responsibility and pride.","fullyFundedDate":1757553113029,"projectUrl":"project/charged-and-focused-tools-for-better-le/9423900/","projectTitle":"Charged and Focused: Tools for Better Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Molina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10059969"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13868","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":450,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":95,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":13868,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Francisca Alvarez Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Francisca Alvarez Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/mcallen-independent-school-district/francisca-alvarez-elementary-school/13868"}
