These tools have made a tremendous difference in maintaining our instruments and creating a cleaner, more inviting learning environment for our students.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving these supplies, our xylophones, drums, and other percussion instruments often collected dust and debris, which affected both their sound quality and longevity. Cleaning them was a time-consuming and challenging task, especially with limited resources. Now, with the vacuum and dusters, we can quickly and safely remove dust from delicate surfaces, keeping our instruments in top condition.\r\n\r\nStudents have noticed the difference as well. They take pride in caring for their instruments and understand the importance of maintaining their tools for music-making. The classroom feels fresher, and the instruments sound clearer, allowing students to focus on learning rhythms, melodies, and teamwork without distraction.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has not only improved the cleanliness of our space but also enhanced the overall learning experience. Over the past weeks students are eager to have reading time at the carpet, this is what they call the rug, not only that but during independent time they love to go sit and work quietly! I have seen their motivation increase tremendously to read and finish assignments. This has reflected in their assessments as well! I have seen a 20% increase in scores of formal assessments in reading alone! The supply organizer was also a huge hit! It keeps all of our materials organized and accessible, making transitions smoother and maximizing our learning time. In addition, the bean bag chairs have been a wonderful addition to our reading corner. They create a comfortable and inviting space where students feel excited to read, relax, and enjoy their books. The combination of these resources has greatly enhanced the overall learning experience in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for this generous support. When our students walked in and saw the colorful Astrobrights paper, their faces lit up with excitement. Right away, they began brainstorming how they could personalize their own music notes to create a display in the hallway titled, \"Alone we are one single note but together we are a masterpiece.\" It will be full of color and will have every single student represented. \r\n\r\n\r\nWe also used the vibrant paper to create half-sheet parent flyers for our upcoming student performance—something that's both eye-catching and easy for families to keep track of. Our lyric sheets are now printed in cheerful colors that help students stay engaged and organized during rehearsal. These small changes have made a big difference in the way students interact with their materials and prepare for performances.\r\n\r\nThe Kleenex and Clorox wipes have also been game-changers. With cold and allergy season in full swing, having these supplies on hand has helped keep our room cleaner and our students healthier. The kids have even taken ownership of helping keep our shared instruments sanitized and ready to use.\r\n\r\nNext, we're diving into a unit on musical storytelling, where students will compose and illustrate short musical pieces inspired by different emotions and scenes. The new books have allowed my students to engage in learning about important social skills that need to be taught in such a foundational grade level. Learning how to self-regulate, taking care of supplies, and being kind to others are a few of the lessons that were taught using the books donated to us. \r\nBefore our classroom library grew, reading time often lacked engagement from students due to the lack of book selection, and lacking books that kindergarteners found appealing. Their eager hands reached for the tubes, and within minutes, they were exploring different pitches, creating rhythms, and collaborating to make music together. The joy in the room was contagious! \r\n\r\nOne of our most exciting projects so far has been using the Boomwhackers to learn about melody and harmony. Watching them realize how each note contributed to the bigger picture was a powerful moment—one that would not have been possible without your generosity. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will be incorporating Boomwhackers into a cross-curricular lesson on fractions and rhythm, helping students understand note values in a fun, hands-on way.
