Your generosity has made it possible to bring stories that represent many cultures, passions, and interests into my students' hands, and they were so excited to see themselves and new experiences reflected on the shelves. Because of you, students who weren't very invested in reading are becoming more active readers, exploring new genres and sharing recommendations with their classmates.\r\n\r\nWhen I first switched schools and lost my classroom library I was very worried about how I could rebuild it quickly. Your thoughtful contribution made it possible for me to restock my shelves with current and engaging novels. I can not thank you enough for both helping me and inspiring my students to find a love for reading.","fullyFundedDate":1756753139772,"projectUrl":"project/independent-reading-all-stars/9669258/","projectTitle":"Independent Reading All Stars","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Clewner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3695694_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1469468354035","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3695694"},{"teacherId":9600413,"projectId":9047267,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for contributing to the needs of our special students. Because of your generosity, we were able to stock the shelves in our classroom. Being able to provide snacks, crafting materials, PE equipment, and safety items is such a huge blessing. I'd love to share some examples of how this donation is already making a difference for our special education students.\r\n\r\nOur special needs students benefit greatly from having healthy and delicious snacks. These snacks are used as rewards for completing tasks and serve as incentives to encourage participation. We even have some students who will do work just for their favorite snacks, like \"rainbow Goldfish\" or Skittles!\r\n\r\nWe have three students who use wheelchairs and absolutely love playing with the soft foam dodgeballs during inclusion time in PE. We aren't able to take the balls with us usually, and they LOVE playing with them. Now that this project has been funded, we're able to play ball with them throughout the day, every day.\r\n\r\nMany of our special education students have limited ability to express themselves, or lack full sight or movement. We needed items like wooden blocks and sensory letters to give them opportunities to practice essential skills we use daily. Craft supply kits and bracelet-making boxes are HUGE for us—they give us so much to draw on, so to speak, lol.\r\n\r\nAs a staff, it means the world to have more gloves, cleaning wipes, and sanitizing spray to help keep both our students and ourselves safe from germs.\r\n\r\n\"THANK YOU\" doesn't feel like enough to express how grateful we are for your support in funding this project. It truly means so much—and it's an incredible blessing.","fullyFundedDate":1737661960706,"projectUrl":"project/nurturing-growth-essential-tools-and-su/9047267/","projectTitle":"Nurturing Growth: Essential Tools and Support for Special Needs Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Romero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9600413_orig.png?crop=457,457,x250,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721751358736","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9600413"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_128046","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1030,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":14,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":51,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":128046,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Santa Rita Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Santa Rita Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/liberty-hill-independent-school-district/santa-rita-middle-school/128046"}
