Your willingness to support our classroom has made a meaningful and lasting impact, and I am incredibly grateful for your investment in education. Because of donors like you, our classroom is not just a place where lessons are taught, but a space where students are empowered, supported, and inspired to grow as confident learners.\r\n\r\nYour contributions have directly enhanced the learning environment for my 8th grade math students in ways that go far beyond materials alone. Middle school is a critical time for students—academically, socially, and emotionally—and having the right tools can make all the difference. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom is better equipped to meet the diverse needs of learners and create equitable opportunities for success.\r\n\r\nOne of the most impactful resources we have received is a class set of headphones. While this may seem like a simple tool, it has transformed instruction and student engagement in powerful ways. In an 8th grade math classroom, students often work at different paces and require different levels of support. Headphones allow students to access instructional videos, math tutorials, and digital practice tools without distractions. This has been especially beneficial during small-group instruction and station-based learning, where multiple activities are happening simultaneously.\r\n\r\nHeadphones have also helped students develop independence and confidence. Students who may feel hesitant to ask questions in front of peers are now able to rewatch explanations, pause instruction, and review concepts privately. This has been particularly helpful for students who need extra reinforcement, English language learners, and those who benefit from auditory learning. Additionally, headphones help create a calmer and more focused classroom environment, reducing noise levels and allowing students to concentrate more effectively on problem-solving and critical thinking tasks.\r\n\r\nAnother invaluable resource made possible through your donations is a laminator. This tool has significantly enhanced instruction, organization, and classroom efficiency. By laminating materials, I am able to create durable, reusable resources such as task cards, math manipulatives, graphic organizers, and station activities. These materials can be used year after year, allowing me to spend more time focusing on instruction rather than constantly recreating resources.\r\n\r\nThe laminator has also allowed me to incorporate more interactive and hands-on learning opportunities. Students can write on laminated materials using dry-erase markers, make corrections easily, and engage in collaborative problem-solving without the fear of making mistakes. This promotes a growth mindset, encourages student discussion, and makes math feel more approachable and less intimidating. In addition, laminated anchor charts and reference tools help reinforce key concepts and remain accessible to students throughout the year.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped foster a classroom culture where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed. More importantly, your generosity sends a powerful message to students: that there are people who believe in them, value their education, and are willing to invest in their future. That message alone is priceless.\r\n\r\nThank you for your kindness, generosity, and commitment to education. The impact of your donations will continue to be felt every day in our classroom, not only through improved instruction and resources, but through the confidence and growth of each student. Please know that your support truly makes a difference, and it is deeply appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1762207330295,"projectUrl":"project/listen-carefully-protect-the-paper/9857348/","projectTitle":"Listen Carefully & Protect the Paper","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Madison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6733126_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1572633656824","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6733126"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13670","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":968,"numTeachers":60,"percentFrplEligible":85,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":71,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":13670,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Elsie Robertson Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Elsie Robertson Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/lancaster-independent-school-district/lancaster-elsie-robertson-ms/13670"}
