As the school counselor, I've been able to provide these calm kits to teachers, who are using them in their classrooms to help students regulate, refocus, and return to learning.\r\n\r\nWe have already seen a positive impact. Teachers are using the kits during moments when students feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or dysregulated, and students are beginning to independently use these tools to calm their bodies and minds. When the kits were introduced, students were excited and curious, but more importantly, they felt supported. They are learning that big feelings are normal and that they have strategies to work through them in a healthy way.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, I will continue to model and teach how to use these tools during guidance lessons and small groups, while supporting teachers in embedding them into their daily routines. Your generosity is helping us build a school environment where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
