Because of you, my students now have their own Kleenslate whiteboards, and they have already become a staple in our classroom—especially during phonics.\r\n\r\nWe've been using them during our daily word-building practice, phoneme-grapheme mapping, and quick checks for understanding. One of my favorite moments so far happened during a lesson on multisyllabic words. Students listened to a word, tapped out the syllables, and wrote each part on their Kleenslate before holding it up proudly for their partners to compare. The engagement was amazing—every student was involved, helping each other, and excited to show what they knew.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived, my class reacted like it was Christmas morning. They gasped, cheered, and immediately started talking about how \"cool\" the boards were. One student even asked, \"Do we really get to use these every day?\" They felt seen, valued, and supported, and that feeling came directly from your kindness.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students are entering a new phonics unit with confidence and high-quality tools that make learning hands-on and fun. As we continue working on longer vowel patterns and tricky word endings, these boards will allow students to practice, erase, try again, and celebrate their growth. They are already taking more risks and showing more persistence because the process feels engaging and accessible.\r\n\r\nYour support made an immediate impact, and I cannot thank you enough for investing in our classroom. You've given my students a resource they will use daily—and a reminder that there are people out there cheering them on.","fullyFundedDate":1760810560834,"projectUrl":"project/write-it-read-it-know-it-kleenslates/9706398/","projectTitle":"Write It, Read It, Know It: Kleenslates for Phonics","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Boyd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp798014_orig.jpg?crop=4284,4284,x0,y714&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757555324645","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/798014"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_102368","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":573,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":17,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":50,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"13.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.8,"schoolId":102368,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ridgeview Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ridgeview Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/keller-independent-school-district/ridgeview-elementary-school/102368"}
