They have absolutely loved exploring the new centers and are excited to engage with the materials. Every time they saw a new box of items, their faces lit up with excitement, eager to see what tools they could use to enhance their learning. These resources have made reading and writing more interactive and enjoyable, helping to reinforce the skills they've been developing. The variety of hands-on activities has sparked curiosity and fostered a deeper understanding of important literacy concepts like word recognition, comprehension, and phonics.\r\n\r\nAs we continue to use these new materials, our next step is to apply the skills learned in the centers to practice STAAR reading passages. By connecting their newfound knowledge to real-world test situations, my students will gain confidence in their ability to navigate and understand standardized test questions. These materials are helping them build the necessary foundation for third grade, and the excitement they feel about using the tools in the classroom is a clear sign that they're motivated and ready to take on the challenges ahead. I am confident that, with continued practice, they will be well-prepared for the STAAR test and the next phase of their academic journey.","fullyFundedDate":1735593834885,"projectUrl":"project/experimenting-with-stories-and-skills/8933145/","projectTitle":"Experimenting With Stories and Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Chloe Arredondo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9831666_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1735602073430","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9831666"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12713","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":463,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":96,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":12713,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hebbronville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hebbronville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/jim-hogg-county-independent-school-district/hebbronville-elementary-school/12713"}
