We are already divining to using the materials. The storage bins and bags are full of books and other teaching supplies. The students have enjoyed using the personal whiteboards during our dyslexia lessons. The highlighters and other supplies have also made our lessons more enjoyable and go so much smoother. Additionally, my resource students have been loving making word family charts with the large sticky pads of paper. \r\n\r\nThese are just a very few examples of the ways my students have utilized the supplies your generosity has provided. I am grateful for every donation, as many of these necessities would have otherwise been supplied out of my own personal budget. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your willingness to help fund my classroom project. Some of the picture books purchased with your generous donations have been used during our comprehension lessons. These lessons teach my students with dyslexia how to analyze a text, track characters, setting (both time and place), the story arc, and the moral taught by the story. All of this, while enjoying great stories that will build a love of learning and literature in my students. \r\n\r\nEach of my groups have chosen a chapter book to read together. With these books, students are learning prosody, fluency, and building their vocabulary. Again, this has built a love of reading in many of my students.
