The charging station is our next friend. We are able to neatly plug in Chromebooks and have them all in one area. It allows us to move them from place to place without having to rush a cart back to the computer lab. \r\nThe white boards are great for spelling and being used for small groups. I am able to do lots of funny interventions for small groups. \r\nThe scissors help with the students that don't have supplies and I was able to share markers with my partner teacher to make sure her class is stocked as well. We have exciting programs that help differentiate for student growth that takes so much work off of teachers and helps students that might not otherwise be able to learn quite as much within a year make huge gains. Having the ability to have students be able to be responsible for caring for their chromebooks so that they may have the opportunity to use these tools makes a huge impact on students. Every day, multiple times a day, students are able to put their computers into their numbered slot and plug them in to ensure charge for later use. I use chromebooks also for quick access to exit tickets so that I might be able to help students who are struggling with the daily concept in a timely manner. The cart has also helped improve transition time so there is very little wasted in organizing computers at the end of the day. This maximizes the amount of time students are able to spend learning and practicing the skills of the day. The kids love that it takes up little space and that they get to take turns being in charge of pushing it from class to class and to specials. It also has removed the burden of counter storage space and allowed for the space to be used for a terrraruim- so we got a class pet! Thank you so much for your generosity.
