It pairs perfectly with one of our favorite read-alouds, The Most Magnificent Thing, which tells the story of a girl who doesn't give up even when her creation doesn't turn out the way she hoped. It's such a great reminder that sometimes things aren't magnificent on the first try, and that's okay!\r\n\r\nStudents who may have a little perfectionism can sometimes get nervous to try something new, especially if they think they won't do well. This game gave them a chance to practice perseverance in a fun, low-pressure way. My students aren't just coding on a screen, they're seeing their ideas come to life right in front of them. They immediately warmed to their Finches and felt their personalities come to life! Students get to experiment, make mistakes, fix them, and try again. Great question! The Unifix Letter Blends Cubes Set is used to help us build words that have blends. The headphones are used during weekly literacy stations and math testing three times a year. The foam magnets are used to practice phonics skills such as blends, CVC words, and magic e words. This resource has not only enhanced our clinic environment but also played a vital role in our students' learning and well-being.\r\n\r\nUtilization in the Nurse's Office: The ice packs have become an essential resource in the nurse's office. We use them daily to provide immediate relief to students who come in with minor injuries, headaches, or inflammation. Recently, a student arrived with a sprained ankle from gym class. Thanks to the ice packs, we were able to reduce the swelling and provide comfort right away. The quick access to ice has made a noticeable difference in how we manage minor injuries and provide care.\r\n\r\nStudent Reactions: When the students first saw the new ice machine, they were intrigued and excited. Many of them expressed gratitude, knowing they could receive quicker treatment for their injuries. The knowledge that we now have an efficient way to provide relief has made them feel more secure and supported during school hours.\r\n\r\nNext Steps: Looking ahead, we plan to integrate more educational components about injury prevention and self-care for our students. We aim to conduct workshops on the importance of first aid and how to use ice packs effectively for various injuries. This will empower students with knowledge and encourage them to take an active role in their health and wellness.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a tangible difference in our ability to provide immediate care and promote a healthier school environment.
