We read it in small groups, out loud as a whole group, and independently. When we read as a whole group, we would stop and talk about the summary for each chapter, the character that were brought into play, and then the vocabulary words that they may have not grasped yet as we are reading. I think this helps students put what they have learned in ELAR class to \"real world\". It was interesting to see what the students picked about each chapter. How they interpreted some of the attention grabbers. The students loved reading this book.
