Originally, it was intended to support 5th grade Chromebooks, but due to a last-minute move to Kindergarten, it became an even greater blessing than I ever anticipated. Managing devices in a Kindergarten classroom can be quite chaotic, and this cart has completely transformed that process. It has made charging iPads safe, organized, and stress-free for both students and myself. The time saved and the structure it provides allow us to focus more on learning and less on logistics. From daily work, to last minute indoor recess, to testing on our devices- your generosity directly impacts our students every single day, and we are deeply grateful for your support and investment in our classroom and school community.","fullyFundedDate":1757559027287,"projectUrl":"project/end-charging-madness/9385732/","projectTitle":"End Charging Madness!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Peters","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9571659_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y24&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718728166417","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9571659"},{"teacherId":8429896,"projectId":9541672,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for your donation to our classroom fluency library for my students with dyslexia. These decodables have been a game-changer for our classroom. With these sets of books, students are able to access CHAPTER BOOKS that we read as a class, with partners, or students choose sometimes to read them independently! I have heard so many comments about how proud they are that they are reading FULL books and are able to do so on their own. This success has built confidence and experience with reading that feels fun and do-able. \r\n\r\nWe use them in class to explicitly teach expression and fluency as a class, and then in groups they re-read these stories using these new skills. They have also become more interested in trying new chapter books like The Magic Treehouse because of the books that have been bought. What once felt overwhelming and daunting now feels a little more fun and motivating. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your donation to make this reading magic happen in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1754761769521,"projectUrl":"project/sets-of-high-interest-decodable-chapter/9541672/","projectTitle":"Sets of High-Interest, Decodable Chapter Books for Dyslexia Intervention","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jimenez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8429896_orig.jpg?crop=648,648,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651089870663","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8429896"},{"teacherId":3650948,"projectId":9225121,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, our library's Texas 2x2 collection has continued to grow each year! As the school librarian, I've had the joy of introducing these books to our younger students over the past five years, but this year has been especially impactful. With the addition of new fiction and non-fiction titles, students are exploring a broader range of stories, learning from diverse characters, and developing important early literacy skills like making predictions, identifying story elements, and building vocabulary through read-alouds and independent reading.\r\n\r\nThese books don't stay on the shelves for long! Students and teachers are regularly checking them out, and students are asking for them by name. I've seen students light up when they recognize a title from the 2x2 list and beg to take it home. One kindergartner recently told me, \"This book makes me want to read every day!\" That excitement is exactly what I had hoped to inspire. This classroom functions even BETTER now because of your consideration and generosity. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new rewards, they were PUMPED!! I had them out in the back for students to check out for about a week before moving them into our prize cabinet for them to choose from as they earn them. I heard so much excitement and joy, students were cheering for each other too! It means a lot for me to be able to provide little tokens of motivation to these kiddos who work so hard every day. Thank you so much for making that possible. \r\n\r\nThey are also so excited for our new change in routine with handwriting! Each day of the week we use a different medium now to practice identifying and writing the sounds they hear in cursive. They have been so excited to choose the daily handwriting bucket of supplies. It's hard to determine which is their favorite, they are all split! \r\n\r\nThank you again for your donation to my classroom. One student in particular, a bright and creative learner who previously avoided reading, now eagerly picks up books and volunteers to read aloud during class.
