I am completely overwhelmed and moved by the support my classroom received. On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to thank you for your generous gift. My students appreciated all the new learning supplies and materials that were purchased with your donation!! The look on their faces was priceless when the boxes arrived. They could not wait to open and unpack the boxes. We are enjoying all the materials too.\r\n\r\nYour donation will truly have a huge impact on our student's learning environment. My goal is to continue to foster a love for learning, motivate my students, and to help them enjoy activities in my classroom. We use the pencils throughout the day while working in whole group, small group, and station time. We use the Astrobright paper almost every day in math with creating projects and our math charts. The highlighters have been very helpful too. We use them with our math as we highlight important information. They have all their supplies ready to go and easy to grab so they can start working. When the books arrived, I honestly wasn't sure who was more excited — my students or me! The kids couldn't wait to get their hands on the books, and many proudly read an entire one all by themselves for the very first time. These readers have helped build their confidence and make reading something they want to do — and that's such a big win for us.\r\n\r\nWe now use the decodable readers during small group lessons and independent reading time. Since the books follow the phonics patterns we're learning, they give students the perfect chance to practice those skills and grow as readers. Even more exciting, some of my students have started writing their own short stories using the same phonics patterns — it's been amazing to see them applying what they've learned in creative ways. Your support has brought so much joy and success into our classroom, and we're so grateful for the strong foundation you've helped us build.\r\n\r\nThanks to the addition of a classroom printer, we've also been able to print extra decodable materials that match the specific phonics skills we're working on. This saves so much time (and energy!) since I no longer have to make trips back and forth to our shared campus printer.
