They were excited for new books and the book lights.They have come in every day with smiles on their faces asking if it's time for book club. Since the new books have been introduced the students are finishing their books in order to get to read a new one.\r\n The book lights have really sparked a new interest in reading. The students love having the lights out and finding a place to sit and read. The students said that reading is now something fun they get to do rather than a task. \r\n One of the students said, \"Book Club feels like the first time I've truly been exposed to books. I never had an opportunity to explore and see different types of books. I never liked reading, but now thanks to book club I look forward to my reading each week.\" \r\n Thanks to your donation we have more students wanting to join book club and sparking other teachers to start a book club in their classrooms.
