They have used the light table for a variety of academic theme-based activities, such as color sorting, counting \"ornaments\" on a tree, and building snowflakes with various shapes. We have also used the stand up magnetic board for multiple activities - we learned about motion by creating ramps and putting various weight balls down, we used it vertically build with magnatiles, and we traced shape road maps with cars to cross their midline. We have been able to explore all of the different light table manipulatives and imbedded them into multiple centers, even outside of the light table. My students have been much more engrossed in their learning and have been able to practice more academic and social concepts through different mediums.
