Students enjoyed the snacks during our activity, and the cleaning supplies helped us keep our space safe and organized throughout the school day. With your help, students created Valentine's cards in Spanish to share with their friends, practicing language skills while spreading kindness with the snacks. \r\nYour generosity not only provided material, but I also felt your encouragement and belief in our students. \r\nThank you for helping me to create a joyful and memorable learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1769191964162,"projectUrl":"project/spanish-is-fun/9982826/","projectTitle":"Spanish is Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Alvarado De Ortega","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9533452"},{"teacherId":9975834,"projectId":9464670,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our AVID 11th and 12th-grade students are actively using these new resources to strengthen their college and career readiness skills every day. We've incorporated them into focused tutorials, collaborative note-taking, and inquiry-based projects tied to real postsecondary goals. One powerful moment came during an AVID tutorial session when students used the materials to break down complex questions about college admissions essays and financial aid. With the added structure and tools, students were more confident asking higher-level questions, supporting one another, and taking ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their reactions said it all. Excitement, curiosity, and immediate engagement. Several students commented on how \"official\" and \"college-like\" the resources felt, which helped them take the work more seriously. For many of our juniors and seniors, this was a reminder that people beyond our classroom believe in their potential and are invested in their success. That sense of support created an instant boost in motivation and classroom energy.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our next steps are even more impactful. AVID 11th graders are currently using these resources to prepare for college entrance exams, refine academic writing, and research college and career pathways. Our AVID seniors are applying these tools directly to completing college applications, scholarships, FAFSA preparation, and transition plans for life after high school. Your contribution didn't just provide materials, it opened doors, built confidence, and brought our students one step closer to their future goals. Thank you for giving our students a meaningful glimpse of what's possible.","fullyFundedDate":1761753930217,"projectUrl":"project/pens-paper-possibilities-fueling-crea/9464670/","projectTitle":"Pens, Paper, Possibilities: Fueling Creativity in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Livsey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9975834_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y484&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743084882347","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9975834"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12380","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1171,"numTeachers":88,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":43,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":46,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"13.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":69.3,"schoolId":12380,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eastern Hills High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eastern Hills High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/fort-worth-independent-school-district/eastern-hills-high-school/12380"}
