They practiced measuring each piece with the rulers and used the paper cutter to get accurate sizes. The toolbox gave them the chance to make small adjustments and talk about how real engineers fix and improve their designs. Seeing them take the project seriously — measuring twice, cutting carefully, and discussing what didn't work — made such a difference.\r\n\r\nThe next step is having students apply these skills to a larger design challenge where they'll create a model that must stand on its own and hold weight.
