When I opened the box during class to show them the titles we'll be reading in our book club, the excitement in their eyes was unforgettable.\r\n\r\nWe've already started our first book, Wild Dreamers by Margarita Engle, and the students are deeply engaged. Thanks to your generosity, and the support of BreakFree Education, we now have wonderful resources to enrich our discussions and deepen our learning.\r\n\r\nMy goal has always been to put literature that my students can relate to in my classroom. The kids have learned how to paint with tempera paint and it cleans up so easy I LOVE IT!!!!\r\n We have made many many paintings of all sorts. My floral class has learned about flowers and worked very hard on painting them, while my art classes painted landscapes.\r\nThey were use to acrylic paint and were forced to learn a whole new painting technique with the tempera. The struggle was real but they came through with flying colors.\r\n The watercolor paper was perfect as it is much heavier paper than regular paper and made for a professional looking painting base. We have used it with the tempera paint and some other projects such as a flower collage.\r\n It is so important to challenge the kids and this was a fun way to make them think.\r\nA big shout out to Google.org Teen Mental Health Initiative for helping me help my kids. They need all the exposure to using different media and art supplies they can get to help them start thinking creatively.","fullyFundedDate":1723587553814,"projectUrl":"project/painting-in-the-new-school-year/8642442/","projectTitle":"Painting in the New School Year.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arscott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8072128_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y169&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632103141769","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8072128"},{"teacherId":8072128,"projectId":8784137,"letterContent":"Thank you everyone for your donations. These items really helped my grow my floral design class. Giving my kids the ability to create different arrangements.\r\n\r\nThe vases and foam are crucial for creating arrangements. With this knowledge, my kids have another skill to find a job and possible career. Many of them have never worked with live or silk flowers so these supplies have opened up a whole new experience. We have made many arrangements for different events, teaching them about form, processing flowers and conceptualizing ideas.","fullyFundedDate":1726701876928,"projectUrl":"project/floral-arranging-our-way-to-great-jobs/8784137/","projectTitle":"Floral Arranging Our Way to Great Jobs!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arscott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8072128_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y169&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632103141769","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8072128"},{"teacherId":8072128,"projectId":8363680,"letterContent":"The supplies for the poster printer have been incredibly helpful in beautifying our school.
