We were so excited to dive into this story about a group of quirky kids and their equally unique teacher. We really wanted our students to see themselves in these characters, to laugh, and to realize that everyone has something special to offer, even if they feel a bit \"unteachable\" sometimes. Thanks to the amazing generosity of our donors, every single student now has their own copy, which makes a world of difference. It's truly incredible how community support can make such a direct impact on our kids' learning.\r\n\r\nFor our wonderful donors who might be curious about what reading looks like in our classroom with these new books, it's pretty dynamic! We're not just reading words on a page; we're really digging into character analysis, figuring out what makes these kids tick and how they grow throughout the story. We're also working on identifying humor and irony, because Korman's books are full of it! Plus, we're exploring important themes like believing in yourself and the power of teamwork. Reading time can be a mix of us reading together, students reading independently, and lots of lively discussions. It's been amazing to see how much some of our typically quiet students have come alive with this book. They're laughing out loud and even recommending it to their friends! Your support has truly sparked a new love for reading in our classroom, and we couldn't be more grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1744213777218,"projectUrl":"project/my-very-teachable-students-need-the-unt/9211102/","projectTitle":"My Very Teachable Students Need \"The Unteachables\" Book Set!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Skowronek","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1563987_orig.jpg?crop=1479,1479,x0,y44&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742932947911","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-skowronek"},{"teacherId":9093290,"projectId":8626545,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donations that enabled me to purchase headphones for my classroom. This small contribution has made a significant difference to my students' learning environment and success.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have been particularly beneficial for students with accommodations, allowing them to focus and concentrate without distractions. They can now fully engage in lessons, access audio resources, and complete assignments with greater ease and independence. Beyond those with specific needs, the headphones have fostered a more inclusive and productive classroom for all students. They can now explore educational videos, listen to audiobooks, and delve into online learning platforms without disturbing their classmates. This has opened a world of new learning opportunities and allowed students to discover new things at their own pace.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support and belief in the potential of my students.
