These children live in an extremely fast paced, century, overloaded childhood. The need to self regulate and cope is a daily occurrence for these young teens, simply based on their daily living experience. Then let's add in all other things that come with being a normal young teen: friendships, drama, family, situations, schoolwork, stress, extracurriculars. \r\n\r\nHealthy coping skills are skills that most high functioning adults struggle with. A lot of school settings do not set our children up to deal with all these outside factors in a healthy way. It's our job as educators and parents to help our students and kids learn healthy coping skills.\r\n\r\nProducts that were purchased from this project, have expanded my coping skills, toolbox, to offer more variety for students to utilize and implement into their coping skills toolbox. With the generosity of donors that allow me to keep bringing new, creative, and effective resources to my students.
