The NeeDohs arrived just in time for midterms, and the timing truly could not have been more perfect. My students balance the demands of high school with the rigor of college-level coursework, and midterm exams bring added pressure and anxiety. Being able to introduce these tools during such a high-stress time made an immediate difference. During review days and throughout their exams, students were able to quietly use the NeeDohs to stay focused and grounded, and I noticed a visible increase in their ability to remain calm and attentive during longer testing periods.\r\n\r\nWhen they first saw the materials, their reactions were priceless—smiles, excitement, and genuine gratitude. After we discussed their purpose and appropriate classroom use, they understood that these were tools to support their learning, not toys. Several students shared that having something to squeeze helped ease their nerves before starting their midterms and prevented their minds from wandering during testing.\r\n\r\nAs we move closer to the end of the semester, the NeeDohs will continue to be part of our classroom routine, especially during finals week! Because of you, my students not only had extra support during midterms but are also developing healthy coping strategies they can carry with them far beyond this semester. Your generosity has made a meaningful impact in our classroom, and we are so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1771254809272,"projectUrl":"project/a-little-squish-goes-a-long-way/10081279/","projectTitle":"A Little Squish Goes a Long Way","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nelda Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2210968_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x0,y17&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770147674115","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2210968"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15982","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":353,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":93,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":43.3,"schoolId":15982,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cotulla High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cotulla High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/cotulla-independent-school-district/cotulla-high-school/15982"}
