My students are having a great time choosing their own comfy spots around the room to read and write. It's been exciting to see their enthusiasm as they enjoy the flexibility of moving around and finding a space that suits their work style. The wobble stools, in particular, are always a favorite when students come to sit at my small group table! They love the option to move while staying focused on their work.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new seating, their reaction was pure excitement. They couldn't wait to dive right in and start using the new seating right away. It's been such a positive change, and we've already seen the benefits of having a variety of seating options for different activities and projects.\r\n\r\nThanks to the generosity of our donors, my classroom has transformed in such a positive way. The seating has opened up so many possibilities for how we approach reading and writing activities. Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue using these resources with my first graders for years to come, as we work on new projects and lessons together. As fellow book lovers, you've made a huge difference by helping us build a richer, more exciting reading environment. These new books have allowed me to introduce important literacy skills such as identifying main ideas, making inferences, understanding character development, and exploring different genres. With such a diverse selection of texts, students are not only building their reading comprehension but also learning how to think critically and connect personally with what they read.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is now one of the most joyful parts of the day. Students curl up with books during independent reading time, share their thoughts in group discussions, and work on small projects tied to the stories they love. The chip rewards have added an extra layer of motivation—turning hesitant readers into eager participants. One student who previously avoided reading now proudly races to finish books just to share her thoughts with classmates. Another discovered a love for graphic novels and is reading more than ever. Your support has created not just better readers, but more confident and enthusiastic learners.
