The materials you helped fund, including laminating sheets, dry erase markers, cleaning supplies, and more, were simple in nature, but they transformed how we worked together in the classroom. What was originally a project for 60 students ended up benefiting over 120 across six classes. Your impact stretched far and wide.\r\n\r\nThe dry erase tools became a foundation for daily instruction. From bell ringers and math games like Math Jeopardy to small group interventions, students could jump in, try, erase, and try again without fear of failure. This instant feedback helped build not only skills but also confidence. I even received a heartfelt letter from one student thanking me for helping her believe in herself, and that moment would not have been possible without you.\r\n\r\nThe laminated sheets allowed me to create reusable blank graphic organizers that were not only used during regular lessons, but also during the actual STAAR test. While every student had their own favorite organizer, what mattered most was that these tools were always available, ready to support their thinking and help them organize complex math in a way that worked for them.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, students spent less time fumbling for paper and more time focused and engaged. Your support eliminated clutter, reduced waste, and created a smoother, more intentional learning environment that helped students stay on task with minimal prep time.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, my students understand where these tools came from. They know they are part of a larger community, one where people like you step up to make a difference. And they do not take that for granted. They showed their gratitude through their effort, their curiosity, and their commitment to growing as learners and as citizens.\r\n\r\nThank you for being part of their journey. A little really did go a long way.\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt thanks,\r\nMr. Chairez","fullyFundedDate":1703105909536,"projectUrl":"project/growing-minds-while-reducing-waste/8000779/","projectTitle":"Growing Minds While Reducing Waste","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Chairez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9349878_orig.jpg?crop=1500,1500,x0,y265&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700853540581","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9349878"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98263","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":575,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":65,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":49,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"11.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":77.4,"schoolId":98263,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bozman Intermediate School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bozman Intermediate School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/conroe-independent-school-district/bozman-intermediate-school/98263"}
